Overview
Founded in 1977 as the Abu Dhabi Golf Club with a 9-hole sand course, the facility has evolved significantly over the years. It was later expanded into an 18-hole layout, followed by the development of a 9-hole grass course in 1998. In 2010, the club was officially renamed Abu Dhabi City Golf Club, with its nine holes designed by renowned British golf course architect Ian Scott Taylor.
Since then, thousands of golfers have tested their skills on the club’s challenging yet enjoyable nine-hole course, uniquely encircled by the Abu Dhabi Equestrian horse racing track in the Al Mushrif area—just minutes from the vibrant heart of the capital.
Today, Abu Dhabi City Golf Club proudly holds the distinction of being the oldest golf course in Abu Dhabi.
The course is a Par 70, measuring 6,307 yards for Men and 5,403 yards for Ladies. The layout includes one Par 5, six Par 4s, and two Par 3s, offering a well-balanced test for golfers of all handicaps and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, the course presents an inviting yet competitive challenge. Hole-by-hole flyovers are available to give players a detailed overview before enjoying a round at one of the most welcoming golf clubs in Abu Dhabi.
