Overview

The Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre (DUCTAC) is a leading non-profit creative hub that was established in 2006. Located in the Mall of the Emirates for many years before its planned relocation, it was designed to serve Dubai’s multinational community with a variety of educational, cultural, and entertainment offerings. The centre provided a platform for local talent to shine, hosting everything from theatre productions and art exhibitions to creative workshops.

DUCTAC featured several key venues, including the Centrepoint Theatre, a state-of-the-art 543-seat theatre ideal for large performances, and the more intimate Kilachand Studio Theatre, which seated 151 people. Additionally, the Gallery of Light was a space dedicated to contemporary art, showcasing works by both emerging and established artists. The centre also housed dance and art studios, making it a comprehensive facility for Dubai’s thriving creative community
